A LITTLE ABOUT ME
hi! i’m melissa (and that’s my camera-shy husband, mike). together we have an 9 year old boy named gage, who finds himself on the other end of my lens quite a bit. i have been a full time portrait artist for 9 years now. i’m 42 and i’m the oldest of 5 kids. i’m the world’s biggest do-it-yourself-er and a definite home-body. i love reality tv, all wine & anything salty! when i’m not behind the camera, you can find me lost in interior design, refinishing antique furniture and putting the finishing touches on our new custom home (built by us!). i love getting my hands dirty with my boys. i’d rather lay flooring than get my hair done. and i’d much rather go fishing than shopping. i own about 2 pairs of shoes and i hate socks. you’ll see 😉
my favorite thing about custom portraiture is getting to work so closely with my clients. every session is unique, just like them! i adore when my maternity clients email me after their session just to tell me how relaxed and comfortable they were and how much fun they had! i love when i get to sit cross-legged on the floor alongside brand new parents and listen to their story. oh, how we all have a birth story to tell! there is nothing i want more than for you to enjoy your entire experience with me from start to finish!
